In accordance with Council of Ministers' resolution No.167 of 28 February 2018 a Council for Development of Digital Economy has been established in Belarus.
The council will focus on coordinating efforts meant to implement the government policy in the sphere of digital transformation of the economy and the development of information and communication technologies.
The council will determine tasks and goals of the digital transformation of the national economy. It will set priorities in assimilating digital technologies in manufacturing branches of the economy, the spheres of trade and services, the social sphere taking into account the latest advances in information and communication technologies and the development of the global digital space. The council will take care of forming a favorable legal and regulatory environment for the development of the national digital economy.
The council will be chaired by Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky will act as his deputy. Senior Partner of Aleinikov&Partners Denis Aleinikov became a member of the council.
