10 October, 2017 as said in the statement of the President’s press service, the President of the Republic of Belarus signed the Edict № 370 “About the Council for entrepreneurship development”, which is included in the package of documents, aimed at development of entrepreneurship and stimulation of business activity in the country.
According to the Provision on the Council for entrepreneurship development approved by the Edict, “Council is a permanent advisory body at the President of the Republic of Belarus, which works out recommendations for the development and comprehensive state support of nonstate business entities, in order to restructure the economy, to form competitive relations and to coordinate the activity of public associations of entrepreneurs”.
The main tasks of the Council will be to prepare proposals for improving and coordinating the activities of the republican government bodies, other state organizations subordinated to the Government of the Republic of Belarus, local authorities, public associations of entrepreneurs in the field of development and support of entrepreneurship; consideration and harmonization of draft normative legal acts (including technical ones) on the issues of stimulation and development of entrepreneurial activity; participation in the formation of organizational, information, scientific and technical systems of securing and support of entrepreneurship, etc. Furthermore, the Council is empowered to make directly proposals, that are essential for consideration, for improving legislation in the Ministry of Economy and the Government.
Representatives of large, medium and small businesses, public organizations, banks and expert community have been included in the updated in an executive order composition of the Council. Aleinikov & Partners’ senior partner Denis Aleinikov is the only representative of the legal community included in the Council.
