2017 Belarusian National Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition were held on January, 27-29 in Minsk. Five teams of students from different Belarusian universities contended for the right to represent their country in the International Rounds of the Jessup Competition, which is held each spring in Washington, D.C.
Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from over 550 law schools in more than 87 countries. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. The International Law Moot Court Competition organized by International Law Students Association (ILSA).
“Aleinikov & Partners” law firm became a partner of Jessup National Rounds in Belarus, which were administrated by International Law & Arbitration Association (BILA). Senior partner at A&P Denis Aleinikov attended the closing ceremony on January, 29.
During his speech, Denis Aleinikov congratulated the students and especially underlined how important it is to have such competitions for preparing high-skilled professionals.
